Sweet Moses

(The name does not bear any significant meaning to it and this is why it shouldn't)

And more, much more than this, I did it anyway:

...I guess the meaning of everything happened to me this morning, about twelve hours before writing this. This music really doesn't exist to say anything or to accomplish anything. It is there because it is and has no other choice but to take form, colour and tone. Sweet Moses is not a choice of lifestyle, the band exists as a direct consequence of life. Style is a whole other matter.

I also guess the other beginning of everything happened in 2002. Music began to happen and change our lives. Different groups and different locations, but not that different ideas of where the music should go. And the music has truly gone through different players to different places but still has kept the same vibration from trying to remember how many times to pluck the E- and A-strings of the bass in total when playing the blues to present day. If anything the vibration has doubled in intensity and tripled in substance. How we managed to get this far is not something that needs to be questioned any more than our love for music and life itself.

What has changed, however, is everything. We were a three-piece band with the intention of shaking, rattling and rolling wherever we went, now we are a five-piece band with flutes, 12-strings, analogue synthesizers and harmony vocals. The idea is to create pop music that outlasts the moment, but rocks a bit still. And there's always room for a freak-out jam as well, just to make things even more fun for us. And maybe for some of you as well. Please let us know.

Our favourite colours are all the colours of the rainbow, our favourite tobacco comes in different flavors and yes, we do enjoy long walks on the beach. But I think Robert Wyatt put it best in 1967:

”You may laugh at me
Say I don't deserve
All the things I've had
Sad...

I've got a drum kit and some sticks
So when I'm drunk or in a fit
I find it easy to express myself
I hit the drums so hard I break all my heads
And then I end the day in one of my beds

I'm nearly 5 ft. 7 tall
I like to smoke and drink and ball
I've got a yellow suit that's made by Pam
And every day I like an egg and some tea
But best of all I like to talk about me!

You may laugh at me
Say I don't deserve
All the things I've had
Sad... ”

Keep diggin' and you will find it,
